Research and development of a tool for soil preparation was made and so was a device for planting soya bean seeds. The soya seed planting device was attached to a small tractor with its power not over 15 kW. Both devices were invented with the purpose of developing agricultural machines to suit the prime mover and can be effectively used on soya bean plantation. The devices were designed and then tested to find possible faults for further development with the aim at commercial production after the master tool for soil preparation and the master device for planting soya seeds have satisfactorily been completed. The tool for soil preparation was designed for use with a tractor with its power not over 15 kW. It was developed and tested in two stages of operation: ploughing and breaking up the ground. Ploughing was done in two ways with the use of a ploughing dish and with the use of ploughing heads with blades. The diameter of a ploughing dish is 30 centimetres with either three blades or four blades. When the ploughing heads were implemented, three ploughing heads were trailed to the tractor and then they worked simultaneously. The breaking up of the ground was experimentally done by means of the tool that was driven by P.T.O. axle of the tractor. The device for planting soya seeds designed for use with a tractor with its power not over 15 kW was developed in two types. The first type was a trailing type attached to the rear of the tractor. It could plant three rows of soya seeds at the same time. The planting mechanism was a rotating dish installed in a horizontal position and was driven by spur gears. The second type was a trailing type attached to the rear of the tractor for planting three rows of soya seeds. Its mechanism was a rotating dish installed in slanting position with the angle of 45 degrees and was driven by bevel gears.
