Mouse neutralization test (MNT) has been the standard method for measuring the rabies neutralizing antibody level recommended by the World Health Organization but the disadvantage of this method is the used of animals experiment and taken time. In recent years many reference laboratories such as Pasteur Institute, France and Centers for Diseases Control, USA have been used Rapid fluorescent fcus inhibition test (RFFIT) for detecting or measuring rabies antibody. 242 serum samples were determined by MNT compared to RFFIT. We found that the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and efficiency of test are 96.70 percent, 96.69 percent, 94.62 percent, 97.99 percent and 96.69 percent respectively. It was indicated that RFFIT was suitable for measuring the rabies neutralizing antibody in routine work.
