Objectives of this research were to study 1) production potential 2) quality of silk fabrics and 3) the outcome of technology transferring for improvement of silk fabrics for KU-BAAC standard certification. Sample groups were 6 silk production groups which were the customers of the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperative (BAAC). Results of study revealed that production groups had different number of members. The biggest group had 116 members while the smallest group had only 17 members. All groups had silk production potential about the same level and produced similar style and design fabrics. The quality of silk fabrics were generally fairly good except the color fastness which was not good. After transferring technology for improvement of silk fabrics in 1) Silk fabrics quality improvement 2) Silk dyeing technique and 3) Production place improvement, the results revealed that the production groups could produce silk fabrics with better quality, and 2 pieces (out of 8 pieces) of silk fabrics were KU-BAAC standard certified. Moreover production groups could improve their production place than ever before.
