Comparison of reproductive cycle and marsupial development in freshwater pearl mussel, Hyriopsis (Limnoscapha) desowitzi rearing in earthen pond and the mussel habitat were carried out throughout the year. Germ cells of both sexes and marsupial development in two rearing sites were proceeded all year round except in October that marsupial development was not found in both demibranch. Results of relationship analyses in number of mussels which had marsupial development in various rearing sites and water qualities, indicated that only water temperatures specifically, in habitat areas of mussels had significant relationship (P LT 0.05) with marsupial development in inner demibranch. Most values of water temperature, transparency, hardness and nitrate in both rearing sites were differences throughout the year.
