Effects of berry thinning period and GA3 application to berry size and quality of Beauty Seedless grapes

Effect GA3 application at concentretion of 25 and 50 ppm at 14 days and 21 days after full-bloom and together with berry thinning before or after GA3 application to berry size and quality of 'Beauty Seedless' grape were conducted at Kanchanaburi Research Station Kanchanaburi province during November,2008 to Febuary,2009. The result showed that GA3 application at concentration of 25 and 50 ppm to 14 and 21 days after full-bloom together with berry thinning before or after GA3 application were significantly increasing the berries size and tended to increase cluster size, stem weight and berry drop. GA3 application at a concentration of 50 ppm at 14 days after full-bloom with berry thinning after GA3 application increased the berry size. GA3 application was significantly decreasing total soluble solids whereas the acidity was not affected. The GA3 application at 21 days after full-bloom tended to increase acidity more than GA3 application at 14 days after full-bloom and untreated. Berry thinning before or after GA3 application at concentration 25 and 50 ppm did not affect to total soluble solids and acidity.
