Utilization of the Glutaraldehyde Coagulation test in cattle

The materials consisted of total of 105 cattle, of which 51 were small than four months and 54 were older. GCT was applied by adding 10 % reagent to the sera in calves and 1.25 % anticoagulated blood in cattle. GCT period was longer in small calves than 21 days of age due to the low immunoglobulin levels. The mean coagulation time was 21.18 and 36.75 minutes in groups with alimenter indigestion and enteritis catarrhalis in adult cattle (up to four months), respectively
