In this study, the early stage diagnosis of experimental coenurosis in lambs was investigated. The study was conducted in ten 3-4 month old Akkaraman lambs and three 2.5-3 month old dogs. First of all, Taenia multiceps infection was produced in 3 dogs by giving the scolices of Coenurus cerebralis orally. Then, the lambs were infected by giving the eggs of T. multiceps collected from these dogs. Each lamb was given an avarage of 5500 T. multiceps eggs orally at once. Blood for serum samples were collected from all the lambs at weekly intervals until the chronic symptoms of coenurosis were observed. Seropositivity was observed at the beginning of the 35th day of the infection in the serum samples that were tested by the indirect ELISA method. This indirect ELISA test was IgG specific. The cut off value was = 0,396
