Pharmacokinetic studies of enrofloxacin in healthy dogs and pyelonephritis dogs

The aim of this study was to determine the pharmacokinetics of enrofloxacin after a single intravenous (IV) and intramascular (IM) injection at a dose level of 5 mg/kg body weight (bw) in healty dogs and dogs with pyelonephritis and to find out if there will be pharmacokinetic differences between healthy dogs and dogs with pyelonephritis. In the experiment, 8-10 month-old mongrel from both sexes and weighthing 16-28.5 kg body weight, were divided into control and studying groups. Enrofloxacin was given to control group by IV injection and to studying group by IM one.
