The effects of row spacing and seed rate on green and dry matter yield of persian clover (Trifolium resupinatum L.)
1994
Sabanci, C.O. | Urem, A. | Aegean Agricultural Research Inst., Izmir (Turkey))
A trial was conducted with Demet-82 persian clover variety consisting of two row spacings (20-40 cm) and four seed rates (1.5, 2.5, 2.5, 3,0 kg/da) in 1986-87. 20 cm spacing gave more green and dry matter yield than 40 cm. On green matter yield, seed rate did not have any effect, while the lowest rate was the lowest in dry matter yield, the other rates being placed in the same rank. It was concluded that 20 cm spacing with 2 kg/da seed rate was suitable in persian clover growing
