Helminth species found in donkeys

Postmortem examination of 10 donkeys slaughtered for carnivor animals in Ankara Zoological Garden was carried out to determine the helminth species of donkeys. During the examinations collected parasites were identified. One species of trematode, one species of cestode and 35 species of nematode were found in the donkeys. Besides the helminth species, Gastrophilus sp. was also recorded in stomach of some donkeys
