In the study, the adaptation of Chicory Witloof (Cichorium intybus L.) to Cukurova region and growing tecniques of chicon that is obtained from the chicory root were investigated. In fact, this vegetable is not grown commercially in Turkiye. Chicory roots were grown in Adana (25 m altitude) and Pozanti (1100 m altitude). In the first year trail Jaz, Java, Rumba, and Zoom varieties and in the second year Java, Jaz, Rumba, Turbo, Bea and Flash varieties were used as plat material.
