Some agronomic properties of local pea population collected from different areas of Turkey | Türkiye'nin farklı bölgelerinden toplanan yerel bezelye populasyonlarının bazı agronomik özellikleri

English. The objective of this study was to determine changing on some agronomic properties of local pea population collected from Turkiye in the ecological conditions of Samsun. The materials for this study consisted of landraces of the common pea collected from different districts of Samsun and had been brought from the Department of Plant Genetic Resources at the Aegean Agricultural Research Institute. Seeds of collected 40 samples were sown in November 2004 in experimental areas of campus of Ondokuz Mayıs University. To establish general situation of pea population, frequency distributions of some agronomic properties were established by using all observation values from each samples. It was observed that seed yield of a plant varied between 5.3-30 g. The largest groups with % 26.08 was plants that having yields between 14-16 g. One hundred seed weight in the study population varied between 10.26-36.36 g. The seed weight of % 2.17 of population was between 35.8- 38.9 g and this highest group in the populations. Pods per plants varied between 7-87 in this population. It was determined that these population can be used in cultivar improvement program and breeding studies for both fresh consumption and forage and in hybridization programme aimed at improvement some properties of registered varieties.

Turkish. Bu çalışma, farklı yerlerden toplanmış yerel bezelye populasyonunun, Samsun şartlarında bazı agronomik özelliklerini tespit ederek genel durumunu ortaya koymak için yapılmıştır. Deneme materyali, Ege Tarımsal Araştırma Enstitüsü Bitki Gen Bankasından getirtilen ve Samsun'un farklı ilçelerinden topladığımız örneklerden oluşmuştur. Toplanan 40 adet örnek kasım 2004 tarihinde Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi deneme arazisinde ekilmiştir. Her örnek grubundan elde edilen veriler bir araya getirilerek tümü bir populasyon kabul edilmiş ve özelliklerin frekansları çıkarılmıştır. Bezelye populasyonunda bitkide kuru tane verimi 5.3 ile 30 g arasında değişmiştir. Verim bakımından populasyondaki en kalabalık (%26.08) sınıfı, 14-16 g verime sahip olan bitkiler oluşturmuştur. 100 tane ağırlığı 10.26 ile 36.36 g arasında değişmiştir. En yüksek 100 tane ağırlığına sahip olan sınıf 35.8-38.9 g aralığındaki olup, toplam içinde % 2.17'lik paya sahip olmuştur. Bitkide bakla sayısı 7 ile 87 adet arasında değişmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar, bu bezelye populasyonun daha çok taze ve yem amaçlı kullanıma yönelik seleksiyon çalışmalarında ve mevcut çeşitlerin bazı özelliklerini iyileştirmeye yönelik melezleme çalışmalarında kullanılabilecek zenginliğe sahip olduğunu göstermiştir.
