English. Embryo culture has an important role in tomato breeding. One of the application of embryo culture is to shortening the breeding cycle in tomato. The main objective of this study is to investigate the effect of different embryo ages, nutrient mediums and genotypes on the success rate of embryo culture and duration from inbreeding to flowering of tomato. Nine tomato genotypes, Cemile Fı, Newton Fı, Sümela Fı, RS 400 Fı, Menhir Fı, Astona Fı, Alida Fı, Diyansa Fı and one local tomato population, were used in the study.

Bu çalışmanın amacı domateste genotip, embriyo yaşı ve besin ortamının embriyo kültürünün başarısı ve kendilemeden çiçeklenmeye kadar geçen süre üzerine etkilerinin araştırılmasıdır.
