English. Important developments have been made in in vitro regeneration subject using eggplant organs and tissues. As far as known at gene transfer studies optimization of regeneration stage has great importance. In this study, it is aimed to get the best explant and growth medium combination for in in vitro plant regeneration of eggplant and also to find genotype effect. As vegetal material two open fertilized eggplant type (Long Purple ve Topan), one native hybrid genotype (3x8) and one wild species (Solanum integrifolium) were used.

Ancak bilindiği gibi gen aktarımı için yapılan çalışmalarda rejenerasyon aşamasının optimizasyonu büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmada, patlıcanda in vitro bitki regenerasyonu için en uygun eksplant ve besin ortamı bileşiminin belirlenmesi ve ayrıca genotip etkisinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır.
