In this research, possibilities for rapid propagation in shorter times for Tunceli garlic, which is endemic to our country, were determined by root culture and shoot tip culture methods which are among rapid propagation and tissue culture techniques. Callus formation couldn't be provided in the roots in root tip culture studies. Although slight callus inception was observed in the environment where there was 0.1 mg/1 BA and 1.0 mg/1 NAA, no advance was observed afterwards. Expected success was not achieved in the root tip culture study.

Bu araştırmada, ülkemize özgü bir tür olan Tunceli sarımsağını, doku kültürü tekniklerinden kök ucu kültürü ve sürgün ucu kültürü yöntemleriyle daha kısa sürede ve yoğun bir şekilde çoğaltabilme olanakları belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Kök ucu kültürü çalışmalarında köklerde kallus oluşumu sağlanamamıştır. 0.1 mg/l BA ile 1.0 mg/l NAA bulunan ortamda hafif kallus başlangıcı görülse de daha sonra hiçbir gelişme görülmemiştir. Kök ucu kültürü çalışmamızda beklenen başarıya ulaşılamamıştır.
