This research was conducted to determine comparative grain yields and some agronomic traits of single, three way and double crosses of maize in Çukurova Agricultural Research Institute during 2002-2004 years. In the study, 6 single, 12 three way and 6 double crosses corn derived from four dent homozygous inbred lines developed by Çukurova Agricultural Research Institute were used as trial material. Heterosis, heterobeltiosis values and correlations between the parents and their progeny were established.

Bu araştırma, tek melez, üçlü melez ve çift melez mısırların tane verim potansiyellerinin ve bazı agronomik özelliklerinin saptanması amacıyla 2002-2004 yılları arasında Çukurova Tarımsal Araştırma Enstitüsü Müdürlüğünde yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada, Enstitüde yapılan ıslah çalışmaları kapsamında seçimi yapılmış, yedi generasyon kendilenerek homozigot hale getirilen, dört adet at dişi mısır hattı ve bunlardan elde edilen 6 tek melez (TM), 12 üçlü melez (ÜM) ve 6 çift melez (ÇM) mısır incelenmiştir. Ayrıca anaçlar ve F1'lerden elde edilen veriler kullanılarak mutlak ve oransal heterosis, heterobeltiosis değerleri ile anaçlar ve melezler arasındaki korelasyonlar hesaplanmıştır.
