Determination of mite species on vineyards of Ankara

This research was carried out in vineyards of Ankara during 2015-2016. The samples were collected mainly from most important grape producing area (Kalecik, Güdül, Çubuk and Beypazarı) at weekly interval. The identified mites were belongs to plant parasitic, predatory, detrivor and saprophyte groups in 13 families and 26 mite species. In total 73% specimens were beneficial, 19% of them were detrivor and saprophyte and 8% were phytophagous mites. As phytophagous mites; we identified 7 species belong to 3 families. These species are Tetranychus urticae, Panonychus ulmi, Bryobia rubrioculus (Acari: Tetranychidae); Brevipalpus lewisi and Cenopalpus pulcher (Acari: Tenuipalpidae); Colomerus vitis and Calepitrimerus vitis (Acari: Eriophyidae). Colomerus vitis was determined as the most widespread among phytophagous mites. A total of 11 mite species which belong to 8 families were determined. Phytoseius finitimus, Euseius finlandicus, Anthoseius bagdasarjani, Anthoseius recki, Anthoseius psyllakisi, Kampimodromus aberrans, Paraseilus triporus ve Neoseiulus marginatus (Acari:Phytoseiidae); Tydeus californicus, Tydeus kochi (Acari: Tydeidae); Zetzellia mali (Acari: Stigmaeidae) were identified. 60% of all samples were belong to Phytoseiidae family and the most dense species were Phytoseius finitimus, Anthoseius bagdasarjani and Euseius finitimus. Another families which are identified are Ascidae, Melicharidae, Laelapidae, Iolinidae, Cunaxidae, Oribatidae and Acaridae.
