Investigation on effect of crop rotation systems on herbicide resistance of wild oat (Avena sterilis L.) in osmaniye province and it's mapping
2017
Torun, H.
In this study, between 2013 and 2015 wheat areas of wild oat (Avena sterilis L.) populations in Osmaniye province was determined 103 fields previously. Then 2014-2015 in May and August, again these fields were investigated for crop rotation systems, weed and wild oat densities, resistance of collected wild oat populations to ACCase (Clodinafop-propargyl) and ALS (Mesosulfuron-methyl+Iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium and Pyroxsulam) inhibitors. Collected fields of wild oat population seeds were set up resistance experiments in screenhouse and applied six different doses of selected herbicides. After obtained screenhouse datas was drawn response-dose curves and created resistance maps. As a result 48 crop rotation systems was identified, wheat alternative crop of sunflower, especially wheat + sunflower + sunflower which was resolved resistance. In 2015, corn of two crop rotation systems, wheat/corn + corn + corn, wheat/corn +wheat/corn + wheat, wheat + wheat/corn + wheat and wheat/corn + wheat/corn + corn rotations were diminished under resistance index 2.00 for ACCase inhibitor. Three crop rotation systems of wheat/peanut + wheat/sesame + wheat for ALS inhibitors and wheat/corn + corn/peanut + peanut for ACCase inhibitor were also decreased. In 2013 of 49, 2014 of 63 and 2015 of 80 field examples were taken. The highest resistance percentages of Clodinafop-propargyl 48.98 %in 2013, Mesosulfuron-methyl+Iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium 50 %in 2015 and Pyroxsulam 12.7 %in 2014 was designated. Screenhouse tests of wild oat populations in 103 fields, target site resistance was observed in 51 fields and multiple resistance was specified in 5 fields.
