The effects on physiological parameters of sowing densities (200, 300, 400, 500, 600 and 700 seed/m2 ) in durum wheat cultivars (Zenith and Kunduru 1149) were investigated in 2012-2013 growing season in Kahramanmaraş. The research with factorial arrangement was carried out by randomized complete block design with four replications. The chlorophyll content (Ki), canopy temperature (Bos), net photosynthetic rate (Pn), stomatal conductance (gs), Ci/Ca, mesophyll conductance (Mi), leaf temperature (Ys), transpiration rate (Tr) and grain yield (TV) were investigated for the bread wheat cultivars in three period (booting, anthesis and grain filling period) in the research. Differences among the cultivars Tr, gs and Ci/Ca at grain filling period, among the sowing density Ys at grain filling period, Bos and Mi at anthesis, among the sowing density x cultivars interaction Ci/Ca at booting stage, Bos at grain filling period were significantly important. Regarding the stage of development, chlorophyll content, leaf temperature and Mi declined gradually between booting and grain filling. On the contrary, gs and Ci/Ca increased between booting and grain filling. The grain yield of Zenith cultivar (634 kg/da) was significantly superior to Ceyhan-99 (334 kg/da). The planting frequency of 600 grain/m2 increased the grain yield significantly, but further increases in the frequency didn’t make sense.
