Technical structure of egg poultry of southeastern Anatolia Region

As in the world and our country, egg poultry in Southeastern Anatolia developed rapidly and has become an important branch of industry. With this thesis, in Southeastern Anatolia (Gaziantep, Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa, Batman, Adıyaman, Kilis and Mardin provinces) demographic and socio-economic structure of enterprises engaged in the egg producing, firm characteristics, hens characteristics, egg farming, health protection, and methods of marketing were investigated. Research data have been prepared by conducting face to face surveys in 17 egg production farm in above indicated provinces. Also, observational data have been used.It was resulted from the studies that in recent years an increase in the number of enterprises that established has been determined in Southeastern Anatolia Region. The vast majority of them have modern facilities. In general the facilities in the region are concluded to have similar properties, the structural and technical specifications.The main problems of the firms in the region are the disease, the feeding, the marketing, animal material, the education and the climatic conditions. In order to solve the problems of the farms and to improve the productivity in the region, it is concluded that the combating diseases, the training of staffs, the raising awareness of the feed manufacturer, the establishment of breeding firms, the performing of the marketing organizations and technical and the economical organization of the public institutions are as needed.
