Application scope of Turkish red pine (Pinus brutia ten.) and Anatolian black pine (Pinus nigra subsp. pallasiana) barks as mulching technique

This study is planned and done in Red Pine (Pinus brutia Ten.) And Black Pine (Pinus nigra subsp. pallasiana) forests located in Sütçüler, Isparta. In this study, 10 pieces of sample is determined and cut. Also diameter in 160 cm height, height of the tree, thickness of bark, volume of bark of these samples is measured.According to this study measured results are as follows; Average height of Red Pine (Pinus brutia Ten.) is 21.58 mt, average diameter in 1.60 mt is 52,70 cm, average age is 81,20 years, average thickness of barks is 3,37 cm and total volume of barks is 922,90 kg. Average height of Black Pine (Pinus nigra subsp. pallasiana) is 18.20 mt, average diameter in 1.60 mt is 62,20 cm, average age is 173,80 years, average thickness of barks is 3,14 cm and total volume of barks is 997,40 kg.As a result, the area of mulching with Red Pine (Pinus brutia Ten.) is measured as 105 m2 and the area of mulching with Black Pine (Pinus nigra subsp. pallasiana) is measured as 115 m2.
