The Importance of Copper, Zinc and Selenium for the Fertility of Dairy Cows

Trace minerals are extremely important in the maintenance of the living functions of the organism and the continuity of physiological functioning. Trace minerals are essential construction components of the cells, hormones and enzymes of the body. Deficiencies of trace minerals can lead hitches in conception, continuation and termination of pregnancy in a healthy way those of which are critical for dairy cattle breeding, also causes disruption of the animals to become pregnant as soon as possible after parturition. In this review, copper (Cu), zinc (Zn) and selenium (Se) were investigated those of which are the most important trace minerals required to keep fertility at the optimum level in dairy cows also the importance in reproduction is exhibited.
