Rice producers' efforts to enhance milled rice output have intensified since palay prices have fallen below production costs, and milled rice has become more expensive in the Philippines than in most emerging Asian nations. Good quality of milled rice can be attained based on the excellent quality of paddy, state-of-the-art equipment, and operator's skills. It is impossible to produce high-quality milled rice with poor milling equipment even if the paddy quality is optimal and the operator is skilled. The amount of milled rice produced in a rice mill varies depending on the hulling efficiency and recovery of the huller employed. Most local rice farmers were unaware that this component might affect milled rice yields. In that situation, the conduct of this study was undertaken to determine how hullers' milling recovery and percent head rice affect the amount of milled rice they can produce. The study aims to develop a simulation project on estimating the amount of milled rice produced in a rice mill based on the milling recovery and percent head rice of different hullers employed using the C program. The study used the three hullers present in the Philippines to provide a comparative output of the milled rice produced. Results revealed that the weight of milled rice and head rice in rubber roll (multi-pass) yielded the most significant predicted output. There was a considerably higher yield at impeller-type huller and rubber roll huller for single-pass rice mills, while a kiskisan type huller has the lowest production. However, when it comes to operating costs, the impeller type huller has the lowest milling charge, followed by the kiskisan type and rubber roll multi-pass, while the rubber roll single pass has the highest milling price. Key Words: rice mill, rice huller, kiskisan, milling recovery, head rice, paddy
