The aim of this study was to decrease the noise caused by milking machines. By combining technical alterations to the milking machine with the fitting of the Vibrations-schlucker, it was possible to significantly improve vacuum stability. Thus, the noise dropped to one quarter of the original level and the vibration was reduced by a factor of five. The working time was also lowered.
