Analysis of changes in meat and meat products consumption in the Czech Republic in the past ten years

This article gives a brief recapitulation of the development of meat and meat products consumption and identifies the key factors which, in the past ten years, have had a major impact on this development in the Czech Republic. Because of the changes in the lifestyle promoted by health education, the changes in feeding habits are characterized by a decrease in the consumption of beef, tinned meat and pork. On the other hand, there is an increasing demand for poultry and fish meat. Consumers choose fresh meat and most frequently buy meat at butchers.
