The aim of this study was to test three different hormonal treatments for oestrus induction and synchronization in gilts. Czech Large White and Czech Landrace gilts (7 month old, 130-140 kg) were synchronized by feeding Regumate (Altrenogest) for 15 days. Then they were treated with PMSG (Sergon) and HCG (Werfachor in the first group, Pregnyl in the second group) or GnRH (Depherelin Gonavet in the third group). Homospermic doses were used for insemination. The most suitable method for follicle stimulation and development was the combination Regumate-Sergon-Werfachor.
