The aim of this research was to validate the thermogravimetric method for moisture content in whole hops and hop products and to compare the results obtained by this method with those obtained by the official method. The method is based on the principles of halogen heating and automatic monitoring of the course of the drying curve. The HR 83 moisture analyser of the company Mattler - Toledo was used. Both the thermogravimetric and official methods gave similar results. Therefore, the moisture meter can be fully recommended for the determination of moisture content in hops and hop products.
