[New approach to the analysis of interaction between plants and soil]
Melnichuk, A.D.(Belarus State Academy of Agriculture, Gorki (Belarus)) | Leinweber, P.(Rostock Univ., Rostock (Germany))
Research results showed that method of pyrolytic mass-spectrometry with field ionization can be successfully used for the analysis of root secretion in plants and products of plant interaction with soil (rhizodeposits). This method allows revealing the daily differences in biochemical composition of rhizodeposits. It was determined that the difference between the day and night rhizodeposits in maize and samples implanted from soil can be explained by the root exudation of carbohydrates, peptides and free fatty acids, in particular, phenylalanine and palmitic acid
