Considerable differences in the colonization of substrates applied for tomato cultivation by the low-volume hydroponics technique with bacterial microflora and mycelial fungi were revealed. It was found that ammonifying, assimilating mineral nitrogen and oligonitrophilic species prevailed in the observed microbiocenosis. The most intensely developed bacterial and mycelial microflora was observed on clay-ceramsite substrates: total biogenecity reached 10.7 bln CFU/g abs of dry mass, the mineralization factor was 4.82. The obtained microbiological parameters determined the benefits of application of the observed substrate in vegetable growing. The obtained data of the microbiological analysis of different mineral substrata can be used in the creation of the biotechnical complexes for vegetable production
