Faunistic, taxonomic and ecological data (abundance, seasonal dynamics, biotopical distribution and hibernation) of three Melanichneumon and two Crypteffigies species from Belarus (Melanichneumon albipictus Grav., M. designatorius L., M. melanarius Wesm., Crypteffigies albilarvatus Grav., C. lanius Grav.) were presented. Taxonomic analysis and problems of genus division of all observed species were given. Melanichneumon genus ranked the 15th place (average flies composition per 1 species) among Ichneumonidae (Stenopneusticae) according to its abundance in nature. Crypteffigies ranked the 23rd place according to the same indices. Crypteffigies albilarvatus and Melanichneumon melanarius were typical for the northern part of Belarus. The main activity period of Melanichneumon species was in June-July. Research results of the seasonal dynamics of Crypteffigies species revealed the existence of only one generation, short summer period (May-June) and impossibility of adult species hibernation. The dominating abundance of Melanichneumon species was noted both in forest biogeocenosis (90,8%) and in open biotopes of meadows and private plots (9,2%). Crypteffigies species were typical for forest biotopes, especially pine (C. albilarvatus) and broad-leaved forests, especially oak forests (C. lanius)
