The use of low-energy biomass for the receiving of thermal energy in the conditions of Western Europe, USA, Russia and Belarus is summarized. The proposed method of energy evaluation of bio-fuel allows to compare the energy efficiency of bio fuel with traditional mineral fuels. Working features of the wood wastes-made fuel are presented. Comparative thermal and technical characteristics of the fundamental and granulated fuel are shown. The fuel evaluation according the full life cycle (FLC) can be made as a branch of the energetic analysis allowed compare bio-fuel to the traditional mineral fuel. The comparison touches specific expenses of the primary energy and its saving.
