The study of functioning of the system of field copying by potato harvesters is considered. The basis of the system of the copying is formed by the principle of the field relief tracking by copying rollers and relevant height regulation of the digging ploughshare position. A principal scheme and the main view of the mechanism for the copying roller and relief interaction investigation are presented. The device for the axis of ordinates measurement is shown. Statistical evaluation of the processes Hk(L), zk(L), zgt(L) and Pk(L) is made. The conducted research has shown that the effective copying of the terrain of the field being harvested can be ensured by tracking by copying devises of potato harvesters of the terrain of the top of one of the two rows being undetermined, which have previously been subject to a pressure test with the present loading.
