Efficiency of application of herbicides in seed plantings of common buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum) was studied in 2007-2009 on sod-podzolic light loamy soil in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. Maize crops were the preceding ones. Phosphate-potassium fertilizers were applied in a dose of P60K90 with primary cultivation in autumn and nitrogen fertilizers were applied in a dose of N30 with presowing cultivation in spring. Research results showed that preemergence herbicides Gezagard (suspension concentrates) + Dialen Super (aqueuos solution) (in dose 0.75 + 0.30 l/ha) and Butizan Star (416 g/l suspension concentrates) (in dose 1.5 l/ha), as well as Graminitsid Fyukhilad Forte (emulsion concentrate, 1.5 l/ha) made it possible to increase the buckwheat grain yield in average on 1.3-1.4 c/ha. After the obtained increases and sales of produced seeds at the price of the first reproduction it was marked that it was economically efficient to apply only mixtures of herbicides Gezard + Dialen Super which made it possible to increase net profit in comparison with control on 56.84 thousand Belarusian rubles and profitability – on 2,8%. The highest yield increase was obtained after application of the following herbicide mixtures at the phase of cotyledonous leaves: Betanal Expert OF (emulsion concentrate) + Lontrel 300 (30% aqueuos solution) (in dose 0,75 + 0,22 l/ha) or Betanal Expert OF + Goltix (suspension concentrates) (in dose 0,5+0,5 l/ha) – 6.1 and 5.5 c/ha, respectively. This increased the net profit on 343.30 and 313.58 thousand Belarusian rubles/ha and profitability – on 21.0 and 19.6%, respectively .
