Разработка и изучение эффективности вакцины для пероральной иммунизации диких плотоядных животных против бешенства из штамма вируса КМИЭВ-94

In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were analyzed the results of development and testing of a new vaccine for oral immunization of wild carnivores against rabies on the basis of a new modified highly immunogenic strain of rabies virus KMIEhV-94 (with titre 6.5 lg LD50/ml)which was grown in cell culture Vero, PC or VNK-21. There was developed a rational technology of its production and introduction into practice. Research results showed that the created vaccine was not contaminated with outside microflora, and it was safe for carnivores in dose 2.0 cm3 for oral administration and induced the production of antirabies antibodies in high titres (more than 1.9-2.0 lg). The vaccine was administrated in dose 2.0 cm3 into baits in combination with a biomarker 150 mg tetracycline-hydrochloride per dose. The baits were stored and distributed in frozen condition. The vaccine was successfully used in quantity of 235820 doses in 17 forestry enterprises of the Republic at the area of 15721 km2.
