In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was studied the pre-planting sugar beet (Beta vulgaris var. saccharifera) seed treatment by the insecticides, which was provided by the purposeful sugar beet hypocotyls and seedlings protection against many phytophages at the initial period of the crop growth and development. At present the preparations based on imidacloprid providing with high biological efficiency against main pests are the most widely used. In the article the results of researches on studying the efficiency of national insecticide preparations Aulsal, SC (JSC 'Grodnoryagroservice') and Koyot, SC (Co Ltd 'Frandesa'), Sidoprid 600 SC ('Celsius Property' Co.) (active substance – imidacloprid) against dominant on energy in sugar beet crops are presented. Research results proved that the pre-sowing seed treatment with the mentioned above system insecticides in dose 90 g/sowing unit provided high biological efficiency on lowering the number and harmfulness of the main phytophagous organisms till the stage of 3-4 pairs of true leaves of the crop. The positive influence of preparations on energy of germination, laboratory and field seed germination, yield and root sugar content is marked.
