Technology of stocking, storage and pre-sale preparation of potatoes appears the one of the most essential processes of potato competitiveness supply at home and foreign markets. Container storage technology instead of bulk method of potato storage allows declining resource and lobour consumption, reducing tuber injury and increasing production quality. The state of mechanization of a technology of stocking, storage and pre-sale preparation of potatoes is analyzed in the article; technical aspects of container storage technology of tubers are shown. The most important technical requirements for the design of the container filler are studied. Application of elastic directing cantilevered arm, supplying fluent transportation of tubers into the container, is substantiated. Container filler with cantilevered arm of telescopic type along with another one with platform attitude mechanism is presented. The most important technical characteristics of new container filler NK-40, made upon base of several models of fillers with different technical characteristics and representing compile form of equipment, are displayed. Main advantages of new automatic container filler are enumerated; practical use of innovation is substantiated.
