In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was indicated the role of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris var. saccharifera) subcomplex in ensuring of the national economic safety. Modern condition of sugar beet production in the Republic of Belarus is reflected. As an initial material for researches the information of the Ministries of Agriculture and foodstuffs of Belarus and also annual reports of facilities of the Grodno area have served. In accordance with the article outcomes the paths of production efficiency of a sugar beet subcomplex in the Grodno region enterprises are determined. Sugar beet - one of the most profitable field cultures in our country. Cultivation of a sugar beet is profitable (not below 25 %) already at productivity of 400-500 c/hectares at existing procurement prices. Increase of sugar beet manufactures efficiency in republic will promote modern technologies of agriculture, a choice of grades and equation of applicating fertilizers, the careful approach to soil selection for a sugar beet and to a choice of plants protection means. It is necessary to aspire to reduction of losses at storage, transportation and processing of a sugar beet.
