1989
Yoo, J.Y. (Korea Food Research Inst., Banwol (Korea R.)) | Chung, D.H. (Chungang Univ., Seoul (Korea R.). Dept. Food Science and Technology)
The cultural condition of Pseudomonas mendocina for polysaccharide production was examined. The optimal medium contains following composition per liter distilled water. Sucrose 23.75g, (NH4)2SO4 1,57g, Yeast extract 0.5g, KH2PO4 2.0g, MgSO4.7H2O 1.0g, CaCO3 2.5g. The optimum temperature and pH were 30degC and 6.5. At the condition, Pseudomonas mendocina produced 5.98g/l of polysaccharide. The culture viscosity after 3 days was 191 mPa.s at 70 sec-1. The product yield (Yp/s) and specific productivity (Qp) were 25.18 % and 32.83 mg/g-cell/h
