Ultrasonic nondestructive testing is a versatile and successful technique that can be applied to a wide variety of material analysis applications. The state-of-art technology of sensors, microprocessors, and methods for signal analysis has been promising new possibilities for the application of ultrasonic techniques to non-destructive and non-hazardous testings. Ultrasonic material analysis is based on a simple principle of physics. That is, the motion of a wave is affected by the medium through which it travels.
