Plant Growth Regulators for Improvement of Graft Union and Growth during Summer in Ruby Balls (Gymnocalycium mihanovichii var. friedrichii)
2004
Lee, J.S. (University of Seoul, Seoul, Republic of Korea)
To improve the graft-take percentage and quality of the saddle grafted ruby balls with Hylocereus trigonus as rootstocks during summer, the plant growth regulators (PGRs) were treated 5 days after grafting, Globe diameter and root numbers were largest with 90 mgㆍL-¹ indole-3-yl butyric acid (IBA) treatment regardless of the measured dates from grafting, while 75 mgㆍL-¹ ancymidol showed longest root length. The chlorophyll contents was highest with 100 mgㆍL-¹ diniconazole and lowest with 90 mgㆍL-¹ IBA.
