For the main, oriental pumpkin(Cucurbita moschata Duch) was grown under the greenhouse condition in Korea. To establish a systematic usage of Bombus ignitus and B. terrestris as pollinators for the pollination of oriental pumpkin were introduced and tested in Cheongwon-Gun, Chungbuk, Korea in 2001. The major time of foraging activities of B. ignitus and B. terrestris in oriental pumpkin was 8:00 and 09:00, respectively. The rate of fruit set and marketable fruit by foraging activities of B. ignitus and B. terrestris were higher than 2,4D treatment. In addition, the effect reduced of labor per 10a by the release of B. ignitus and B. terrestris against 2,4D treatment was 94%.
