The Relationship among the Vocational Interest Type, Desired Career Courses, Career Decision, School Satisfaction for the Adolescents

The purpose of this study was to explore variables related with vocational interests for the adolescents. To pursue this goal, main survey data(Nara Kim et al., 2013) was used for data analysis. As a result, the most vocational interest type was the social type in adolescents. The realistic type and investigative type selected a engineering course in the future major. On the contrary, the artistic, social, enterprising and conventional type selected a music, art, and physical course. The realistic type for students in middle school and enterprising and investigative type for students in high school had correlation between vocational interests type and career decision. The realistic type had correlation to the physical course, the investigative type had correlation to the science and math, the artistic type had correlation to the are and music. Based on the findings and conclusion of this study, it is necessary to inform the various occupation and major courses and provide career guidance and counseling according to the vocational interest type.
