Studies on prolonging the vase life of tuberose cut flowers

It was indicated that the flowers retained their freshness for longer periods when higher concentrations of sucrose, Hydroxyquinoline citrate and silver nitrate were used. These treatments were also effective in retarding the abscission rate of the petals of the flowers
