An obscure disease amongst cattle in Ramtek area of Nagpur districy [India]

In Ramtek area of Nagpur district, out of 236 cattle and 31 buffaloes which were attacked by this disease 106 cattle and 19 buffaloes died during October 1978 to March 1979. The endemic infection of trypanosomiasis in the area and response of some animals to trypanocidal drugs suggest the possible cause to be an atypical form of trypanosomiasis
