Seeds of mungbean and urdbean were immersed in streptocycline and bactosan antibiotics solution of 100, 150, 200 and 250 ppm concentration for 10, 15, 20 and 25 minutes. Results indicated that yellow colonies of Xanthomonas spp. were decreased as immersion time in antibiotics solution was increased. Immersion of seeds for 25 minutes in concentration of 250 ppm solution of streptocycline and bactosan was found effective in control of seedborne bacteria followed by 20, 15 and 10 minutes immersion time. Streptocycline was found more effective than bactosan antibiotics in control of Xanthomonas spp.
