A rust-resistant bread wheat variety Vidisha (DL788-2) is a subsitute for rust susceptible popular wheat Lok-1 for late sown, irrigated conditions of the central zone of India. This early maturing (106 days), dwarf (75-79cm), wheat has amber, hard, bold, well-filled lustrous grains. Vidisha has yielded as high as 43.0 q/ha with an average of 39.3 qlha. Vidisha (DL788-2) wheat has high protein (12%) and tolerance to storage grain pests.
