Epizootiological status of canine viral haemorrhagic gastro-enteritis in Bhubaneswar city

Haemorrhagic gastroenteritis of viral aetiology is one of the fatal infectious diseases in dogs. The common infectious agents were identified to be parvovirus and coronavirus. Reports of out breaks from various parts of the world indicated its global significance. In India Balu and reported the prevalence of canine parvo and corona viral enteritis respectively in and around Madras city. Mass occurrence of gastroenteritis among dog population in this area during the previous years prompted to conducte the present sutyd with a view to elucidate the epizootiological status of haemorrhagic gastroenteritis in Bhubaneswar city.
