Heterosis for rust resistance over environments in pea (Pisum sativum L.)

Heterotic response of 75 crosses from 15 lines x 5 testers mating design was worked out over better and mid parmt in timely (EJ and late (E2) sovm environments separately. Three crosses, namely, LMR 20 x T 163, LMR 20 x HOP 12 and S 143 x HOP 12 showed better parental heterosis {Hbp ) and eight crosses showed mid parental heterosis (Hmp) in both the &vironm&ts (El and E2).
