Cefaclor is a recent semisynthetic broad spectrum cefalosporin antibiotic, which is active against gram +ve and -ve aerobes and certain anaerobes except Pseudomonas species. Cefaclor acts by inhibiting cell wall synthesis. Sparfioxacin is a recent fluoroquinolone antibacterial, having broad spectrum action against gram +ve and -ve aerobes including certain anaerobes.
