The electronic technology is revolutionizing the agricultural systems across the globe. Video technology, which was a miracle in the eighties, is now in common use even in remote rural households. Viedo has tremendous potential both as an educational and an entertainment tool. However, the potential of video as an educational medium for motivating farmers to change their attitude has not been fully realized. The present research aimed to study the effectiveness of video education among farm women on the selected video enterprise, viz., layer farming. A substrantial knowledge retention of 75.47 per cent was recorded among the respondentgs 15 days after video exposure. Extension agency contact, level of aspiration, educational status and innovativeness were found to be the crucial variables influencing knowledge retention.
